For the first time in the history of wurm you can place things… on other things!
- Items can be placed on other items, activate an item (in your inventory), right click a surface, choose Place.
- For the purposes of this mod, a “surface” is an item you can put other items on. Valid surfaces are:
- Anvil
- Bed
- Bedside Table
- Bench
- Bulk Storage Bin
- Canopy Bed
- Coffer
- Cupboard
- Dining Table
- Fine High Chair
- High Bookshelf
- Larder
- Large Barrel
- Large Crate
- Low Bookshelf
- Magical Chest
- Marble Keystone
- Planter Rack
- Rectangular Marble Table
- Round Marble Table
- Round Table
- Royal Lounge Chaise
- Small Barrel
- Small Crate
- Square Table
- Stone Keystone
- Tripod Table
- Wardrobe
- (more might be added in the future, if you have suggestions please post them!)
- Multiple items can be placed on a single surface.
- Items on surfaces can be pushed/pulled/rotated using the appropriate action or keybind and will maintain their position relative to the surface.
- Items on surfaces can be interacted with normally, you can drink, eat, take them, etc.
- Security:
- All surfaces can now be planted/secured and locked.
- Only the owner – the one who placed or planted the item – can attach, remove or replace locks.
- If locked – only the owner and players with “may open” permission can interact with things placed on it, and place new things on.
- If not locked – village and house permissions can still limit taking, moving and some other interactions on items but new items can still be placed on by anyone.
- A player can always take or move around an item placed by himself, even if he doesn’t have permissions anymore.
- Examining, tasting and emotes are always allowed.
This feature is currently somewhat experimental. If you encounter any issues please report them and all feedback is welcome.
